Citing her emphasis on communication with residents, Highland Village Mayor Dianne Costa has filed to run for re-election this May.
"While I may not always make decisions that are embraced by everyone, there is never a doubt as to where I stand on issues," said Costa.
"At times, hard decisions have to be made. As your Mayor, I make every effort to represent all citizens and aid the Council in building consensus."
Costa was elected as Mayor in May 2006. She has served on the City Council since 2002, and is co-owner of Sharp Focus Centers for counseling, education and mediation. Read a letter from Mayor Costa here.
Costa will face at least one challenger. Fred Busche, a former Highland Village City Councilmember, has also filed for the mayoral race.
