Arianne in character

With Frightmare Weekend going on from Feb. 21 through Feb. 24 (Fri. night through Sun.), we had the timely opportunity to host lovely local actress Arianne Martin here in our plush recording studio at Pegasus News World Headquarters. Arianne is the star of the independent horror/comedy (or is it comedy/horror?) film, Red Victoria, which screens at 8 p.m. on Saturday at Frightmare.

While she won't be out on the red carpet tonight at the Inwood for the 40th anniversary screening of Night of the Living Dead, she will be in attendance at Frightmare over the weekend; and thus my advice to all red blooded movie lovers (zombie or not) is that you motor on over to the Hilton DFW Lakes in Grapevine to shake her cold, dead hand. (Just kidding. Maybe.)

Here are highlights of actual things you will hear Arianne saying in the embedded podcast:

"He was like, 'wow, this girl can actually act!'" - re. Red Victoria auteur Anthony Brownrigg

"There is a sexuality to her." - re. her zombie character in Red Victoria

"I got to cry a lot." - re. her character in The Imposter, a just wrapped independent picture about a Christian pop singer

"That's definitely a Justin question." - re. Striped Socks Productions films in the works

"L.A. is one of those places you eventually have to go."

"I'm one of those actresses who are very subtle."

"Right now my schedule is so like - 'we need you in New Orleans tomorrow at three.'"

"I've been auditioning my butt off."

... and hear Arianne's pick for the Hollywood personality who most reminds her of an actual zombie.
