Garland citizens the target of bogus water workers scam
Some citizens of Garland have been the victims of a scam in which people represent themselves as city water workers to get inside people's houses, and then try to persuade them to buy water-purification systems. Resident's are warned to be cautious of anyone not driving a clearly marked city vehicle, and anyone not carrying an official photo ID.
