Dallas reviewing dispatch system after police officer motorcycle accident
The Dallas Police Department and Dallas Fire Rescue are conducting an internal review to find out if the city's dispatch system is flawed.
It came up after it took paramedics 11 minutes to respond to the accident involving police officer Victor Lozada-Tirado, who died in a motorcycle crash on Friday while working the motorcade for campaigning Sen. Hillary Clinton. It was supposed to take 8 minutes or less. According to Channel 11, the system didn't have "Houston Street Viaduct" as a valid address. Lozada died almost instantly but they're investigating anyway.
