Barack Obama will hold “Stand For Change Rally” in Fort Worth on Feb. 28

2

Barack Obama couldn't get enough of North Texas the first time around so he will be stopping back by.

On Thursday, February 28th, Senator Obama will host a "Stand For Change" rally at the Fort Worth Convention Center. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the program begins at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. While no tickets are required, the Obama camp strongly recommends you RSVP. However, space in the event is on a first-come, first-served basis, so I'm not really sure how the RSVP will help you.

Some political recap:

According to Michael Barone (writer for U.S. News and World Reports, The Economist, etc. - not a character on Everybody Loves Raymond) Hillary Clinton could have the edge, albeit a close one, in Texas. He predicts she'll take 64 of the 126 delegates alloted to public voting. However, Political Adviser Harold Ikes hints that her candidacy is over of she doesn't pull off decisive wins in Texas, Ohio, Vermont, and Rhode Island on March 4. Though she remains ahead in Superdelegates, despite their continued exodus to Obama, it's beginning to look like they won't be enough to give her the nomination.

First, i'll be at the rally on thursday. Second, one of the reasons people are attracted to obama is the simple fact America doesnt want 4-8 more years with a Clinton in the white house, two go-rounds were enough with her running the show. In addition, Barak is a better fit to the typical american than hillary and her high and mighty elitest tilting. People want to see themselves in their leaders, not to mention she reminds me too much of that "busy body" neighbor who always thinks they know how to run your affairs better than you do.

I too will be at this event. I'm going because I've never seen one person bring all ages, races, together for a common cause. Obama is finally showing us that you can be AA but still have so many things in common with your neighbor, friends, co-workers. But it will take everyone to come together. Hillary is showing me that she can't control her own campaign finances, she can't decide what her stand is, she can cry when it helps her, and lastly she can't control her own husband...which is nothing new. It is time to Stand for Change.
