Kent Rathbun, chef-owner of Abacus, along with his Atlanta-based chef-brother Kevin, won their competition on the Food Network's Iron Chef America Sunday night, beating Iron Chef Bobby Flay with a score of 50 to 46.

The secret ingredient was elk; dishes included elk carpaccio, elk meatballs, elk fajitas, and elk sausage. Since the show was taped last fall, the Rathbun team still included sous chef Tre Wilcox, who has since left Abacus. Joyce says that Kent hosted a six-course watching party at Abacus on Sunday, featuring all of the above dishes plus an apple tart dessert.

The show will re-run a bunch of times over the next week.
