Dallas Mavericks 102, Chicago Bulls 94
DALLAS The Dallas Mavericks extended their first winning streak of the Kidd Era ][ to three games Monday night, defeating an overmatched Bulls team 102-94 at the AAC. While newbie Jason Kidd did not break double digits in assists against Chicago, he was smartly effective at running the Dallas offense, as the Mavs managed to shoot .481 from the field, including an astonishing .643 (9-for-14) on three point shots.
Kidd finished with 11 points, 9 rebounds and eight assists, and while he was responsible for six turnovers, he also added some solid defense with four steals. Dirk Nowitzki led all scorers with 29 points, once again having an excellent day shooting: 10-of-19 from the field, and a perfect 3-for-3 for three. Dirk also had ten rebounds and six turnovers himself.
Jerry Stackhouse finally seemed back in his pre-injury form, scoring 23 points off the bench. Even Eric Dampier's play seemed to have been lifted against the Bulls, as Damp was a physical force in the paint, collecting 6 points, 16 rebounds and 7 blocked shots before fouling out.
