RICHARDSON Radio UTD has been chosen to air a two-hour segment March 2 on XM Satellite Radio’s XMU station (Channel 43) for the Student Exchange Program hosted by Billy Zero.
At 6 years old, Radio UTD is the youngest station ever chosen for the program, as well as the only one that doesn’t broadcast on FM radio.
The program will air at 3 p.m. Nonsubscribers can hear the XM broadcast online at www.xmradio.com under a free trial period offer or on DirectTV channel 831.
Radio UTD was nominated for best student-run radio Internet-only station in College Music Journal’s College Radio Awards two years in a row, which attracted XM Satellite Radio's attention.
Radio UTD features an eclectic and free-form mix of music and original programming, including occasional talk shows and live coverage of select UT Dallas sports events.
