Right-handed man robs Denton bank

There was nothing particularly memorable about the bandit, other than his odd reference to not pushing his button. (Oh, and the whole right-handedness thing.)

There was nothing particularly memorable about the bandit, other than his odd reference to not pushing his button. (Oh, and the whole right-handedness thing.)

A man who "took the money with his right hand" left the Guaranty Bank branch on West University Drive in Denton Tuesday afternoon (Feb. 26) carrying an undisclosed amount of cash he demanded (more than once) from a teller, who at first thought he was joking.

At one point he reportedly warned - and I quote - "Don't push my button and you won't get hurt." (Note his use of the term "MY" in relation to the button: this may be a clue to the bandit's identity.)

The character did not appear to have a gun; he's a white male in his late 20's/early 30's, of medium height and build, unshaven, wearing a hoodie, with blond hair. Oh, and there was paint on his hands. So maybe we refer to him as the "right-handed slovenly painter bandit."

Here's hoping he pulls more bank jobs so we can refine the moniker.
