DALLAS Celebrity hairstylist Frédéric Fekkai has opened a salon at Highland Park Village in Dallas. Yay. Women from Texas won't have to fly to New York, Los Angeles, or Palm Beach to get one of his hair cuts (described by the DMN as "cleaned-lined, sexy, wash-and-wear").
The staff supposedly includes "Fekkai vets" and "a few handpicked locals". One hates to be skeptical, but one would love a headcount of Fekkai vets versus handpicked locals. Because one suspects that the staff is almost entirely handpicked locals and hardly any Fekkai vets. Fekkai himself will jet in every so often to bestow $750 haircuts on a select few. The other stylists charge $125 and up.

GWAR / Kingdom of Sorrow / Toxic Holocaust Only lead singer Oderus Urungus (aka Dave Brockie) has stuck around since GWAR's start 23 years ago, but the huge costumes, raunchy and obscene lyrics, and fluids spraying into the audience are sure to be on full display as the metal band makes its return to Dallas.
