Audra Egenolf won silver in the platform diving finals, capping her outstanding run at the Georgia Diving Invitational Saturday. Preston Holcombe placed seventh, marking the highest finish for the Mustang men at the event.

Egenolf scored a total of 255.90 for her six dives, putting her squarely in second place. The first-place diver held only a six-and-a-half point edge over Egenolf, while the third-place finisher was nearly 20 points behind.

Holcombe ended the invitational with his best performance of the weekend, scoring 295.30. His seventh-place finish was the highest placing for SMU's men's diving team of the event. Freshman Matthew Culbertson also competed for the Mustangs, finishing 12th with a score of 264.40.

The SMU women's swimming and diving team is back in action Jan. 12 in College Station, Texas. The Mustang men will host Northwestern, Arizona State and Southern California Jan. 11-12 at 7:30pm for The Classic @ SMU at Perkins Natatorium.
