Plano-based Bennigan’s offering so-called Irish dishes in limited-time promotion
Bennigan’s Grill & Tavern is embracing its Irish side with a new promotional menu that features fried "Oh, Baby" Back Ribs smothered in Jameson® Irish Whiskey BBQ Sauce. The menu, available in restaurants nationwide, also highlights new appetizers, drinks, and a dessert.
These ribs have been so smothered in Jameson Irish Whiskey BBQ Sauce that they're absolutely three sheets to the wind right now. Look at them, lying there like a bunch of drunks. Damn ribs should be ashamed of themselves.
"We wanted a menu that put an Irish spin on some of our favorites," said Flynn Dekker, senior vice president of marketing for Metromedia Restaurant Group. "Creatively this is the most original menu we've done. Each one of the promo menu items is new to Bennigan's."
In addition to the Irish "Oh, Baby" Back Ribs, the promotion also includes Irish Ale Queso, Monte Cristo Egg Rolls, a new take on Bennigan's signature sandwich, and Stacked Chicken, a new entrée featuring two flame-grilled chicken breasts topped with shrimp sautéed in lobster cream sauce.
To accompany the meal Bennigan’s is featuring several new drinks, including the alcohol-free Irish Rainbow, and the alcohol-full Irish Coffee and Hot Irish Cocoa, both made with Jameson Irish Whiskey. Beer lovers can indulge on the Half and Half -- half HARP® Lager and half GUINNESS®.
And no New Year's resolution would be completely blown without the new Triple Dare, a chewy fudge brownie, a Hostess Twinkie® and a Zinger®, each wrapped in a crispy shell that’s fried until golden, and served with vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate and caramel sauces.
The promotional menu is available Jan. 8 through March 16.

Chad Jones, says:
I think the Triple Dare should be more ashamed, reveling in its own cream-stuffed obesity.
This cat could run marathons before its owner left a Triple Dare unattended on the counter, and its life is changed forever.
