Luminant moving headquarters to new downtown Dallas location
DALLAS Luminant, the power generation business unit of Energy Future Holdings Corp. (EFH), will relocate its downtown Dallas headquarters to the Lincoln Plaza building at 500 N. Akard, where it will occupy six floors. The move is expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2008 and involves approximately 750 employees in Luminant’s power generation, mining, wholesale trading and marketing, construction and development operations; support groups; and additional business partners.
Luminant’s headquarters change fulfills a commitment made by EFH as part of its recent merger to transition its businesses into three separate and distinct business units, each with separate headquarters, while remaining in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
“We believe relocation to Lincoln Plaza is the best solution for our business and our employees,” said Mike McCall, chief operating officer of Luminant. “There will be no disruption to our power generation and related businesses. It’s cost-effective and the space is flexible and can be easily configured to meet our business needs while giving us maximum future flexibility.”
Luminant, a subsidiary of Energy Future Holdings Corp. (EFH) formerly named TXU Corp., is a competitive power generation business, including mining, wholesale marketing and trading, construction and development operations.
