Rockwall detective runs for office, loses job
ROCKWALL — Rockwall detective Randy Puckett was forced to resign last week after city officials declared that he had violated a city ordinance when he filed to run for Rockwall County Commissioner. The ordinance states that city employees are banned from running for public office. Puckett says he was under the impression he had cleared the issue with his supervisor and the city, but city officials claim otherwise.
