Originally, there was speculation the incident was possibly an intruder attack or even an attempted murder-suicide pact.

But on Thursday, January 10, Frisco detectives arrested Vera Elizabeth Guthrie-Nail, 42, Craig Nail's ex-wife, in connection with the shooting.

Guthrie-Nail, a resident of Carrollton, was arrested at SH121 and Hebron Parkway in Carrollton, TX. She was booked into the Frisco Detention Facility at 8:24am.

She will be charged with Criminal Solicitation Murder for attempting to solicit another to kill her estranged husband, Craig William Nail. The offense is a First Degree Felony, and her bond has been set at $100,000.00.

The offense is still under investigation.

UPDATE: According to a story in The Lewisville Leader Mark Lyle Bell, Thomas Edward Grace, and Vera Elizabeth Guthrie-Nail were indicted for capital murder charges in connection with the murder of Craig Nail, Frisco's only 2007 murder.

Bell, allegedly contacted through middleman Grace, allegedly killed Craig Nail at his home on Dec. 26, 2007.

"We said from the start that when we made the arrests the case wasn't over," said Frisco Police Department Sgt. Gerald Meadors. "We still have a job to do, this is still an investigation and we still have to get [convictions]."
