Two Dallas scientists honored for research and innovations
Two Dallas scientists were honored by the Academy of Medicine, Engineering and Science of Texas Thursday for advances they have made in medicine and technology. Dr. Beth Levine of UT Southwestern Medical Center received the award for medicine for a cell process that could have implications for cancer, aging, infections, and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s. Sameer Pendharkar of Texas Instruments received the award for technology innovation for developing semiconductor technology to improve power efficiency in a variety of automotive safety applications and consumer electronics.
