Haltom City wanted all residents to be aware of a warrant roundup they would be executing against deadbeat water recipients (those who don't pay their bills). However, instead of the flyer included with everyone's recent bill being informative, the yellow piece of paper was worded as a threat.
The confusing language stated across the board that "you" have been reported to the Texas Department of Public safety and that the arrests would happen wherever they "find you." Confused, and some slightly angry, residents flooded the department with calls. The HC municipal court manager who approved the flyers admitted that the wording was probably a mistake. No kidding.
