Butcher Shop Steakhouse in Addison shuts down

Email Print Tell us your story Comments (3)

— The Butcher Chop Steakhouse in Addison is no more. Thanks to an insufficient number of people willing to go there and pay money to eat steak, it shut down about 7 months ago. It has since been replaced by a swanky bar with a dance floor semi-literately called Manhatten of Addison. (The bar is called Manhatten of Addison; no word on what they're calling the dance floor, which may very well be more literate than the bar.)

The Addison branch was a short-lived sibling to the same-named Butcher Shop Steakhouse in Dallas' West End, which is still open. It's part of a small chain whose original branch opened in the early '80s in Knoxville, Tennessee. Other Butcher Chop Steakhouses are in Memphis and Cordova, Tenn., and Little Rock, Ark.

Where will people in Addison get their steak now? All that's left is Chamberlain's, III Forks, Rick Stein’s, Stone Trail, Sullivan’s, Texas de Brazil, Truluck's Steak & Crab, Kobe Steaks, I mean, there is like NOTHING up there if a person wants to get a steak.

I wish more stories on this station would ramble on a bit more, then meander and eventually turn on the radio.

Like TG sez, there's nowhere to get a steak in Addison, well, except, um, for Houlihan's, and, um, Ounce Prime Steakhouse, and, um, Houston's, and, um, Fogo de Chao, and, um, Canary Cafe at night (chef won the Texas steak cook-off), and, um, BLT Steak, and, um, Ruth's Chris, and, um, Grill on The Alley, and, um, Kenny's Wood Grill. And dat's all dem place to eat steak. I think.

We're all doomed, the world is coming to an end. Wherever shall we get our USDA prime grade steak?!
