Idol Records announces new PPT album, Chomsky reunion
Things are busy as usual here at Idol Records, here is a quick Run down of new developments:
Idol Records will host a label showcase at the 2008 SXSW in Austin. Our show will be Friday, March 14 at The Wave 408 E. 6th St Austin, TX 78701. The showcase line-up includes: Black Tie Dynasty, The Crash That Took Me, PPT, Glen Reynolds, Watershed and Mitra along with some surprise guests.
Pikahsso from PPT released his debut solo single “Faleyuh” on iTunes this week.
PPT’s much anticipated sophomore album Denglish will be released worldwide on April 15. Denglish is a concept album that blends Dallas & English and takes hip-hop into a whole new direction. The album features a ton of DFW musicians including Cory Watson from Black Tie Dynasty, Glen Reynolds and James Henderson from Chomsky, Amy Curnow from Shanghai 5, with guest appearances by Strange Fruit Project, Money Waters, Bavu Blakes, Aeonz, Thesis and others. Produced by Picnic. The guys are on a mission to put Dallas on the map, with two songs that pay tribute to the city, “Dallas Lady” and “God Save The D”.
