Underage prostitution ring run by teens, say Fort Worth Police

The ring was broken up Jan. 3 after a tip to Fort Worth police.

Three juveniles and a 17 and 19 year-old have been arrested for suspicion of human trafficking and prostitution. Those involved in the prostitution ring allegedly forced runaway underage girls to have sex for money.

*And although the management of the prostitution ring was sophisticated for such young suspects, they were not smart businessmen, she said. "They didn't put the profit back into the business," she said. "They mostly bought drugs and beer."*

Sophisticated? They flashed knives and guns to young girls, then marketed them to 'undocumented' immigrants in apartment complexes. If anything, these kids are lucky nobody flashed hardware on them and kidnapped the girls. Getting caught by the police probably saved lives.

So did they just cram all these runaways into a single apartment in the meanwhile, or what?

Doesn't mention where they kept 'em while not trying to find clients, but considering there was an initial arrest back in August...must have held them somewhere. Unless the girls went back home but continued with this stuff under coercion? Says families were also threatened...

Either way, January 3rd was a <a href="http://www.pegasusnews.com/news/2008/jan/14/man-rapes-son-after-son-rapes-daughter-fort-worth/">rough day</a> for alleged sexual offenders.
