Flower Mound wildfire threat necessitates daily burn ban determinations
Open burning requires permit and OK from fire marshal
FLOWER MOUND Due to high winds, low humidity, and dormant vegetation creating a high risk of large and destructive wildfires in Flower Mound, the Fire Department is taking extra precaution to help prevent wildfires by continually evaluating environmental conditions and making daily burn ban determinations. Open burning can only be conducted with a burn permit obtained through the Flower Mound Fire Marshal’s office. Residents possessing a burn permit must contact the Fire Marshal’s office at 972.874.6207 or Police Dispatch at 972.539.0525 to obtain daily burn status. For more information, call the Flower Mound Fire Marshal at 972.874.6207.
