Leaving chained dogs unattended would bear a $2000 fine

FORT WORTH Fort Worth city council members are expected to vote Tuesday on an ordinance that would make it illegal for dog owners to leave their animals unattended on a chain or rope. Irving and Austin have adopted similar laws.

But 40 lb. pit bulls chained to the burr oaks and pecan trees is part of the fort worth charm. Fort Worth just won't be the same without the live yard art.

Dallas has something similar, but as you might expect, it's only half way there: not after 11 pm apparently.
