Sophomore diver Britney Yancey was named Conference USA Diver of the Week, as announced by the league Tuesday.
Yancey won the three-meter board Saturday against No. 1 Auburn and No. 6 Texas A&M. She ran away with the event, tallying 288.90 for her six dives, beating her nearest competitor by over 17 points. In addition, Yancey took fourth in the one-meter board, scoring 214.00, finishing ahead of Texas A&M's Courtney Brown.
This is the first weekly honor of Yancey's career.
The No. 12 SMU women's swimming and diving team is back in action this Friday, Jan. 18 at 6pm and Saturday, Jan. 19 at 1pm as they host C-USA rivals Rice and Houston, respectively.
