wtf ? What's the purpose of trying him as an adult if they're going to give him a child's punishment! Too bad he didn't rape his stepsister - then he might get what he deserves from his stepdad !

From DMN: http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedconte...
"When State District Judge Curt Henderson set the terms of Grant Morehead-Whitaker's probation last week, he ordered him to serve 180 days in jail, followed by a rehabilitation program in a minimum-security lockup, then 18 months of house arrest with GPS and electronic monitoring. He must also undergo sex offender treatment, and the judge ordered him to get his GED."
While thats not much better, at least we know that the guy will have to serve some time and punishment.
The prosecutor had asked for 50 years but this sentance was handed down by the jury. In the end the teens lawyer is calling the sentance extreme and will appeal.
I'd loved to know what went into the decision on such a light sentance (Max was 100 years per charge - That sounds about fair since this guy raped the woman in front of her two children. Do you think they will get that memory out of their heads in 180 days? Or 10 years? or ever??)

It does seem light, especially considering that he had a gun at the time.

Yee-hah... how about that cultural diversity, America?
If that had been a white man raping a black woman in front of her kids, the judge would have thrown the book at him and there would have been an Al Sharpton special on it.
What's the message here to blacks? Rape a white women and get a slap on the wrist.

I can't be bothered to go through a whole White Power forum; can someone summarize?
I don't even know the ethnicities of the people involved.
