Furneaux Elementary looking to give $550 to one lucky former student
The scholarship honors the memory of Michael Ebanks, a former Furneaux Elementary student who died in the collapse of the Texas A&M Bonfire on November 18, 1999.
Calling all former students of Furneaux Elementary in Carrollton: Furneaux is looking to give away $550 to one lucky former student.
The money is part of the Michael Ebanks Alumni Scholarship, an annual award given to past attendees of Furneaux.
Michael Ebanks was a former Furneaux Elementary student who died in the collapse of the Texas A&M Bonfire on November 18, 1999. The scholarship was designed in his memory.
Students can pick up an application at the high school counselor's office. The deadline to mail in the application is March 31, 2008.
