The Killdares, Dallas' well-known Celtic rock band, will work with some industry heavyweights for their fifth studio album. Ronan Chris Murphy will produce the album. Ronan has worked with various other bigtime producers and bands such as Tool, Ministry, and Weezer. The Killdares worked with Ronan on their fourth album, Any Given Element.

Also on board is engineer Chris Bell, known for his Grammy nominated work with Erykah Badu and Kirk Franklin. He has also worked with the Killdares before, in addition to another little local group, Polyphonic Spree. Maybe you've heard of them?

Per blog post, the Killdares' album is scheduled for a Spring/Summer 2008 release.

The Magnetic Fields Quartet led by songwriter Stephen Merritt is resolutely "indie" so how come their music has been used in a Volvo commercial and appeared in the film Lemony Snicket? More info
