Stephen Covey (Mk. II)

Stephen M.R. Covey, whose father Stephen R. Covey (aka Stephen Covey Mk. I) wrote the book that started the whole "let's read a book and thereby make our business-oriented lives better" trend, will lecture at Texas Christian University on Feb. 4 as part of the Neely Author Series.

Covey's presentation runs from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Dee J. Kelly Alumni & Visitors Center, located at 2820 Stadium Drive on campus. This is a free event, but those planning to attend should RSVP (see bottom of linked page) in order to reserve their seat.

Author Covey will be available to sign copies of his book following his presentation.

Akira Sato Jazz trumpeter Akira Sato, by way of Tokyo, Japan and Vancouver, Canada, is an SMU faculty member and director of The Meadow Jazz Orchestra at SMU. He is also an adjunct faculty member at UNT where he teaches jazz arranging. Sato is also heading into the studio soon with other area musicians and playing at the Scat Jazz Lounge tonight. With all that he's up to, the least you could do is order a Scotch on the rocks and chill to some tunes. (Photo by flickr user arteunporro. More info
