Aton - "We Are All"
Shot by Hal Samples
This Friday, January 25, marks the launch party of Aton’s debut CD Reunify. Performing in the Dallas area over the last two years, the band has perfected their unique sound of reggae rhythm and jazz horns while establishing a loyal fan base. Doors open 9:00 p.m. at Hal Samples' Space Studio located in Deep Ellum, Aton will perform at 10:30 pm to introduce their new CD of electrifying sounds to the public and DJ Clay Pendergrass will be spinning throughout the evening.
Powered by David Willingham, founder and producer, the band brings fresh new music to reach out to audiences in a socially conscious manner. The title track “Reunify” speaks to finding balance in humanity and the world. The video for the CD, shot by Hal Samples primarily in downtown Dallas, covers the fifth track “We Are All” and beautifully conveys the emotional and compelling needs of the homeless.
Willingham composed and wrote most all the music for Reunify and his powerful stage presence is impressive. With dynamic lead vocals and vibrant trumpet sounds, he leads Aton in an exciting mix of reggae jazz fusion. All are experienced musicians and many were raised in Dallas. The band includes; Ty Hudnall - Saxophone, Jason Davis - Flute, Gaika James – Trombone, Dave Burris – Guitar, Matt Chapman - Keyboards, Hank Fore – Bass, Brian “Iyar” Thomas – Drums, Candice "Mahogany" Miller - Supporting Vocals, and Damascus – vocals.
Rooted in traditional reggae rhythm, Aton delivers a passionate sound, sending a message of hope and unity to the world. Visit www.atonreggae.com for more information.
