Dallas County Judge Jim Foster and County Director of Security & Emergency Management Robie Robinson toured the Airport Operations Center at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport yesterday. Foster and Robinson visited the airport's emergency management nerve center to seek input on the design and layout of the proposed county emergency operations center.
"It is vitally important that Dallas County have a facility that allows us to quickly and effectively respond to a countywide emergency," said Foster. "This visit allows us to ensure that Dallas County has a facility that is equipped to respond to any catastrophic event."
Foster is working with county officials to have the county emergency operations center constructed by the summer of 2009.
