Grand Prairie City Council approves recarpeting, renovation, roofing - oh my
During its January 22nd meeting, the Grand Prairie City Council approved measures to improve Central Park as well as gloss up the council chambers.
The city will be contracting out the recarpeting exclusively to young children and single father crews.
The council approved a contract with Brinkley Sargent Architects, Inc., in the amount of $2,406,350, for a Central Park detention pond design, engineering and permitting, Esplanade design and site survey and platting services.
The council also unanimously approved renovations of the City Council Chambers. The City Manager will enter into a contract with Komatsu Architecture in an amount not to exceed $28,000, with a contingency of $1,400 for the design.
In addition, they authorized the replacement of carpets at the City Hall Complex (within the Development Center-Phase II, Municipal Courts, Revenue Management, and City Attorney's office area), as well as roof restoration on the City Hall totaling $229,046.58.
