The Stolen Shakespeare Guild will be back in 2008 performing at Fort Worth Community Arts Center, for the most part. They will also be performing As You Like It in conjunction with Trinity Valley, which will be performed at the school. Tickets to the first show are already on sale and can be purchased online or by calling Theater Mania at 1-866-811-4111. Here is the lineup for the next year:

  • The 2008 Condensed Shakespeare Festival from Feburary 15-24. Short versions of three Elizabethan comedies presented in one evening. The Merry Wives by William Shakespeare, adapted by Edward Huntingdon and Nathan Autrey, and directed by Nathan Autrey. Volpone Ben Johnson, adapted and directed by Brad Deborde. Short Attention Span Much Ado About Nothing, adapted by Edward Huntingdon and words by The Bard; directed by Nathan Autrey and Brad Deborde.
  • As You Like It, special presentation with Trinity Valley School from June 13-22. Rosalind, the daughter of Duke Senior, is raised at the court of Duke Frederick, with her cousin Celia (daughter to Duke Frederick). She falls in love with a young man named Orlando, but before she can even think twice about it, she is banished by Duke Frederick, who threatens death if she comes near the court again. Celia, being Rosalind's best friend, goes with Rosalind (who is disguised as a boy, Ganymede) and Touchstone, the court's fool, to the forest of Arden.
  • The Tempest from August 1-10. Prospero, a potent magician, lives on a desolate isle with his virginal daughter, Miranda. He's in exile, banished from his duchy by his usurping brother and the King of Naples. Providence brings these enemies near; aided by his vassal the spirit Ariel, Prospero conjures a tempest to wreck the Italian ship.
  • York Mystery Plays, Stolen Shakespeare Guild’s Christmas Special, from December 12-14. The Fall of the Angels by the Barkers, The Fall of Man by the Coopers, The Building of the Ark by the Shipwrights, The Flood by the Fishers and Mariners, Moses and Pharaoh by the Hosiers, Joseph's Trouble about Mary by the Pewterers and Founders, and The Nativity by the Tilethatchers.

Bill Moonies -- also watch out for "Hamlet II", a forthcoming comedy art flic that just sold at Sundance for more than any other movie (thus far).

Beer Tasting at Kindred Spirits "He must have been an admiral, a sultan, or a king, and to his praises we shall always sing. Look what he has done for us, he's filled us up with cheer! Lord bless Charlie Mops, the man who invented beer, beer, beer, tiddly beer, beer, beer..." I have my beer drinking song ready. Do you? More info
