Beware of a man claiming to be law enforcement who asks for cash
Phoney probation officer rips off a woman in Grapevine
GRAPEVINE Despite his lack of a badge, ID, or arrest warrant, a man claiming to be a Tarrant County probation officer stole $100 from a Grapevine woman. He said he was at her home to arrest her son, and that $60 would take care of it. She offered $100 and he said he would get change for her, but never returned.
Anyone with leads in this case is urged to call Grapevine police at 817-410-3200.

Kevin Kunreuther, says:
This confidence man has other two other associates; they use many aliases to talk people out of cash. They pretend their vehicle broke down or is impounded, or pretend they're bounty hunters or law enforcement officials, or bill collectors threatening to cut off services. They accept cash only. If they appear at your door or approach you in street, call their bluff and call police immediately.
