Embattled Mansfield mayor resigns
New mayor to be elected in May
MANSFIELD — Barton Scott resigned as mayor of Mansfield Thursday. Earlier this month, citizens filed a petition requiring a recall election this May. The special election will still be held for Mansfield voters to choose a new mayor.
