— The executive producer of Cheaters has launched a new web show giving people from all walks of life a digital platform to air their grievances and accusations on subjects from racism to social injustice to first amendment rights. "Now, anyone can go online and upload a video of themselves, share their personal story and let the people decide who’s right and who’s wrong." said Rene Guerrero, a producer for iAccuse. "Injustices against people happen everyday and we’re giving them a non-partisan arena where they can air them publicly," he added.

One of the site’s first cases is from rapper Dooney "da Priest" who recently caught flack when he included lyrics on his track "Pull Your Pants Up," referring to the prison origins of saggin'. The song, which has gained world-wide attention and has even been used in a dress-code campaign by the city of Dallas, was written to draw attention to teens and adults wearing their pants significantly below their waist. The song received much attention from different viewpoints and particularly from the group GLAAD and a community newspaper the Dallas Voice, both claiming some lyrical references to be a defamation against gays and lesbians. In response, "da Priest" wrote. "My lyrics were in no way intended to offend or slander anyone, only to make a point about what I see as a disrespectful clothing style. I never meant to imply that to be perceived as being gay is wrong.

Priest hopes to bring resolution to the conflict via iaccuse by allowing online viewers to express their opinion. “I see this project (iAccuse) as a way for people to call out injustices.” Priest added. Priest is scheduled to discuss his story this coming Monday (Jan 28, 2008) during a segment featuring teens on Dr. Phil’s talk show.

A full slate of videos and user sections will be available soon on the iaccuse site, but you don’t have to be rapper or celebrity to participate on iaccuse. “Expecting fair treatment and honest behavior doesn’t have to be a pipe-dream for so-called regular folks. iaccuse is here to help make that happen.” said the show’s producer, Melissa Martin.

The show is currently collecting cases and content with plans for a Fall 2008 launch into a national broadcast television series. To share your accusation, simply go to the site, email directly or call 1-888-IACCUSE to add your story to the ‘platform for justice.'

Freezeframe on the multiscreen disclaimers at the end. Great stuff -- although I imagine their "we're just an internet service provider" schtick won't work on the stuff they air on TV. I wonder how long it'll take before one of the participants is sued for libel?

Again, heavy on the Dallasites. I'll hand it to him -- Bobby G provides the most entertaining trash TV around. But bring back Tommy Habeeb!

Wouldn't "iBitch" be a better name?
