Dallas police officer arrested on suspicion of DUI
No charges filed; officer remains on administrative leave.
Officer Dwight Govan of the Dallas Police Department - while off-duty early Saturday morning (Jan. 26) - was involved in a minor collision near downtown Dallas. No one was injured in the crash, but officers on the scene arrested Govan on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Officer Govan, who was assigned to the Love Field Airport beat, has been placed on administrative leave while IAD investigates; no charges have been file to this point.
