Flower Mound Tom Thumb manager fired after assaulting disabled female employee

The suspect admitted to the crime after his victim went to the police.

The manager of a Flower Mound Tom Thumb was fired earlier this month for assaulting a disabled female employee.

Placido Gomez was a manager at the Tom Thumb at 745 Cross Timbers Road in Flower Mound (just off Garden Ridge Road). While at work on January 6, according to the Flower Mound police department, Gomez approached a disabled female employee, in her early 20s, and proceeded to fondle her.

The victim and her mother reported the assault to Flower Mound police. When asked about the incident, Gomez admitted to the crime. He has been charged with "assault on an elderly or disabled person," which is a Class A misdemeanor. If convicted, Gomez could face a fine of up to $4,000 and/or a jail sentence not to exceed one year.

Peter Stawicki, says:

Doesnt seem long enough. This woman already has one handicap in life and now she will spend more of her time wondering if the next guy will take advantage of her?? He deserves a few good kick in the privates a few times an hour for 8-10 hours a day. Say maybe a repeat of that practice for a good 6 months. Then he might think twice about thinking with his sexual organ.
