HOV lane opens today on 635 in Dallas
We've all been waiting for a little break in the cluster-@#$% that is rush hour on 635. The HOV lanes on LBJ between 75 and I-30 opened at 6 a.m. this morning.

So much for safety. There are already two places (on just the westbound side) where the plastic breakaway barriers are gone, including one at an entrance where the skidmarks on the pavement lead directly into the concrete center barrier. At least it's not as bad as the fully-uncontrolled HOV segment between Central to Stemmons.
