The suit insinuates that the equity group doesn't have the stones to go through with the deal
DALLAS According to this story in the Dallas Business Journal, it appears Dallas-based credit card transaction-processing company Alliance Data is suing private equity group Blackstone in an effort to force the group to close it's purchase of Alliance Data.
The company's $6.4 billion acquisition of ADS has hit a few regulatory snags, and Blackstone had recently backpedaled from the deal. Blackstone had agreed in May of last year to pay more than $81 per share for the company's stock, which as of this morning was hovering at around half that.
