UPDATED: Dell shutting down all U.S. mall kiosks
Updated 01:14 p.m., January 30, 2008
Engadget is claiming to have multiple sources telling them that Dell is planning on shutting down some, if not all, of their ubiquitous Dell Direct stores and kiosks, a cost-cutting move made easier since you can buy Dells in multiple other places now, too. So, employees at NorthPark Center, Galleria Dallas, North East Mall, Ridgmar Mall, Stonebriar Centre, The Parks at Arlington, and Town East Mall, this is your heads-up -- you may not be getting a Dell (paycheck) for much longer. Maybe this guy will help you find a job.
UPDATE: It's official -- Dell is shutting down all of its Dell Direct Stores. No word on how soon the closings will happen, but if I worked there, I might start looking for a new job right...about...now.
