FC Dallas to face LA Galaxy in preseason charity game

FRISCO FC Dallas General Manager Michael Hitchcock today announced that the FC Dallas Foundation has finalized a preseason charity game between FC Dallas and the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday, March 15 at Pizza Hut Park (7:30 p.m. CT). The FC Dallas Foundation Charity Game, which will be the first opportunity for area fans to see the 2008 FC Dallas team in action, will also include an appearance by Galaxy midfielder David Beckham, forward Landon Donovan, and former Dallas forward Carlos Ruiz. Proceeds from the charity game will benefit the FC Dallas Foundation, which will donate the funds to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, the Miracle League of Frisco, and an LA Galaxy charity to be determined at a later date.
The FC Dallas Foundation Charity Game was first announced in August 2007 following the SuperLiga contest between Dallas and Los Angeles. Fans who bought tickets through the team’s front office or through any Ticketmaster outlet for the July 31, 2007 SuperLiga game between the two teams have the opportunity to reserve the same number of tickets in the same seating area for the March 15 contest. Further instructions for these fans to claim their seats will be sent through email and regular mail over the next week. Fans will also have the option of making a monetary contribution of their choice. The deadline for fans to claim their tickets for the March 15 charity game is February 19.
A limited number of tickets for this game are available to the general public through a special three-game package. This package includes Dallas’ preseason game against Los Angeles on March 15, the team’s regular season opener versus Chivas USA on March 30, and an April home game to be determined. Fans may call the front office to reserve their tickets 888-FCD-GOAL (888-323-4625).Ticket prices are as follows:

About the Miracle League of Frisco
The Miracle League of Frisco offers children with all levels of disabilities, ages 5-19, opportunities to play league sports including baseball, soccer and bowling. Building on their success in baseball, in September 2006 the Miracle League of Frisco became pioneers in a big way by offering a soccer league for special-needs children. The vision is to have special-needs children playing right alongside their peers in other youth leagues. The Miracle League of Frisco is one of the very few - if not the only – Miracle League chapters to both offer soccer and have their own soccer field.
