Bedford man accused of internet Wii scam
A 44-year-old Bedford man is the prime suspect in an pre-Christmas internet scam that offered Nintendo Wiis for almost half-price. The scamming website was able to rope more than 50 people in, despite the fact that no check OR credit cards would be accepted for the non-existent Wiis -- just wire transfers.

Ummmmm, amount they pulled from the bank is a lot more than 50 Wiis at $189.
$32,800 / $189 = 173+

"More than 50" victims, some of whom may have tried to buy several systems, would bring the amount collected up.

Me sho shorry, just skimmed - thought other article said 50 orders placed.
Which means 40 people probably bought one, and the other 10 peeps were trying to flip 'em for a profit. Makes it humorous, imo.
