“For the first time ever, the Dallas Summer Musicals (DSM) School of Musical Theatre is expanding our reach,” said Kevin Cook, Director of Education for the DSM School of Musical Theatre. “By popular demand we are partnering with our friends and neighbors, offering children and adults musical theatre classes with professional instructors teaching classes just as if they were in a play or a musical.”
Classes are now being scheduled in Denton, Lewisville, Keller, Southlake, Rockwall, Downtown Dallas, Park Cities and Mesquite. Visit www.dsmschool.org for exact locations, dates, costs and contact information or call 214-969-7469.
Darrell Cleveland from Dallas Black Dance Theatre is the primary choreographer/instructor and Denis Kashoid from Moscow Conservatory of Music is the primary musical director/instructor for this first-ever satellite program. Lewisville will be using their own choreographer.
These classes are in addition to the regularly scheduled DSM summer classes which take place at The Majestic Theatre in downtown Dallas each summer.
“We’re thrilled to be able to offer these classes in collaboration with other professionals in these cities to bring the best of what DSM School of Musical Theatre has to offer,” Cook said. “Join in the fun!”
And don't forget that Dallas Summer Musicals' 2008 season is continuing this week with High School Musical at the Music Hall at Fair Park July 2 - 13.
