Dallas officials may close four city community swimming pools
With the prospect of saving an estimated $200,000 annually, Dallas officials are looking into closing four of the city's 21 community swimming pools. Also, attendance is apparently low and the facilities are all over-the-hill.
The pools in question:
- Glendale Community Pool (1534 W Five Mile Pkwy).
- Walnut Hill Pool (Midway at Walnut Hill Lane).
- J.J. Craft Pool in South Dallas (3125 Lyons Street).
- Tipton Pool in West Dallas (3607 Magdeline Street).
If the city does decide to shut them down, they'll graciously wait until this summer season is over.
