Texas Rangers 11, Baltimore Orioles 10

It was a grueling afternoon for the Texas Rangers as they barely held on over the course of nearly four hours to edge out the Baltimore Orioles 11-10.

At the end of three innings, the Orioles were up 3-2 after a home run from Brian Roberts. The Rangers bounced back in the fifth to tie the score then found their stride going up 11-5 by the top of the eighth. But the commanding lead would turn out to be a nail biter as Nick Markakis drove in a three-run home run in the eighth, followed by two more home runs, from Kevin Millar and Melvin Mora, in the ninth.

The Rangers would hold on, however, as C.J. Wilson, relieving Josh Rupe after the eighth, struck out Roberts to end the 3 hour and 48 minute outing. The win gave Texas a much needed 2-1 series win on the road, capping off a month-long stretch with 18 of 24 games played on the road. The team returns to the Ballpark in Arlington on Monday for the first in a four-game series against the L.A. Angels.

Milton Bradley left the game after four innings from tendinitis in his left knee (his right knee underwent surgery in the offseason). Ian Kinsler extended his hitting streak to 18 games with his first inning single.
