Highland Park ISD hires consulting firm to replace retiring superintendent Cathy Bryce
The Highland Park ISD Board of Trustees hired the firm of School Executive Consulting, Inc. to search for a replacement for HPISD Superintendent Dr. Cathy Bryce, who recently announced her retirement. The company is led by longtime Texas educator Dr. Mike Moses and attorney David Thompson, who specializes in school law. Thompson is a partner at Bracewell & Giuliani.
“Dr. Bryce has set a very high bar, which will enable us to attract a high-caliber superintendent to lead HPISD,” said School Board President Jeff Barnes. “This will be a national search with a local flair.”
Dr. Moses said he expects a pool of highly qualified candidates.
“Highland Park is considered to be a lighthouse district, and it will attract the best of the best,” he said. “There is no doubt that Dr. Cathy Bryce has served the district with distinction, and that she has upheld the tradition of excellence that continues today.”
Dr. Bryce will continue in her role as superintendent in order to give the trustees ample time to find a replacement.
