ARLINGTON — The Texas Rangers were probably blushing from embarrassment Saturday, as the Chicago White Sox beat them 9-7 at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington behind a strong pitching performance by Texas' former #1 draft pick. The loss dropped the Rangers to 49-46 on the season.

Danks....but no Danks
The Rangers were kept off-balance all night by their former minor league all-star John Danks, who was traded last year for DL-a-riffic pitcher Brandon McCarthy. Danks lasted into the eighth inning, giving up four runs, zero walks and striking out eight. Danks is now 7-4 with an astonishing 2.67 ERA.
Rangers starter Kevin Millwood did not fare nearly as well. Millwood lasted only five-plus innings, and gave up five runs off ten hits. Millwood dropped to 6-5 with a 5.11 ERA, and continues to be inconsistent.
Josh Hamilton continued his assault on major league pitching with his fifth straight multi-RBI game, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and a stolen base. Hamilton has now driven in runs in eight straight games, longest streak in the American League this season.
Ian Kinsler also continued his own streak, going 2-for-5 with a double, a run scored and two RBI to extend his hitting streak to 24 games. The streak is the longest in the majors this season, one more than teammate Michael Young's earlier in the season, and Kinsler still leads the league in batting at .333.
