Email Print Tell us your story Comments (9)

The Balls Hamburgers in University Park is going to shut down and be replaced by a Dunkin Donuts, reports Overheard.

Readers of the Park Cities People blog had been dropping hints for weeks that were finally confirmed by a Dunkin Donuts spokesperson, although no date has yet been announced.

So, um, if you like the burgers at Balls -- anyone? anyone? -- now's your time.

It's not like there aren't any other burger joints in town. There must be an increased police presence in the neighborhood and donuts are needed.

My understanding [from an inside source] is that Snider Plaza's rent has gone up, and the restaurant will relocate elsewhere in the Bubble vicinity, if possible. Meanwhile you can always go to their other location, on West Northwest Highway at Midway.

Dunkin has never been in the same class as Krispy Kreme or Southern Maid. Best thing I remember about Dunkin is dunkin my wick with a gal who work at one.
