City of Parker hawks raffle tickets to support volunteer fire department
The City of Parker is promoting the sale of raffle tickets in support of city's volunteer fire department.
Not only will ticket purchasers be contributing to a worthy cause (i.e., keeping the fire department funded), they will also have a shot at winning one of three fabulous prizes (just call me Vanna):
1) a NEW CAR! (Well, actually, a $25,000 voucher towards the purchase of same, redeemable at one of the sponsoring dealerships - Huffines Auto Group Plano and Sewell Saab Hummer of Plano.)
2) a GE front load super capacity washer/dryer ensemble - in fire engine red, of course!
3) a Troy-Bilt 42" lawn tractor, with 17.5 hp Briggs & Stratton engine.
Dawn Loughlin is the designated raffle coordinator - give her a call at 972-429-4844 if you'd like to chip in by grabbing up a block of tickets for sale to your Parker (or non-Parker!) friends and business associates. The person who sells the most tickets (no more than 1,000 will be sold) wins a deluxe night on the town, including a Cadillac for the night (courtesy of Crest Cadillac) and dinner at Chamberlain's.
The drawing will be held on Sept. 13, at the annual fundraiser at Southfork Ranch.
If you win the Troy-Bilt, I bet they'll even let you mow the lawn before you leave.
