DALLAS Sports journalist Kevin Blackistone, who is collaborating with All Pro Dallas Cowboy and New York Giant Everson Walls on writing his memoir, will discuss the project during a special session of The Writing Salon at Brooklyn Jazz Café.
Walls, a former Cowboy running back, made a selfless donation of a kidney to his longtime friend and teammate Ron Springs. The story of Walls' life was purchased by Lyons Press.
Blackistone, a sports commentator for ESPN, AOL Sports national columnist, and former columnist for the Dallas Morning News, landed the deal to help Walls write his memoir entitled "Fourth and Forever: Football, Friendship and a Gift for Life."
The talk will be followed by a question-and-answer session with Blackistone and tips on writing memoirs with veteran journalist Linda Jones.
Join us for this provocative and instructional gathering for writers of all levels. Register early. Conference room seating is limited.
