Heath City Council will meet to discuss annual budget, gas pipelines
Atmos Energy's gas franchise with the city will come under discussion.
Among the topics facing Heath City Councilfolk during their scheduled Tues., July 15 meeting (at 7:30 p.m., at City Hall) will be public discussion on the annual budget for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2008.
Also up for consideration is an ordinance amending the gas franchise agreement between the city and Atmos Energy.
Still on the subject of gas, there will be talk pertaining to Atmos' installation of above-ground launcher and receiver stations for gas delivery pipelines in the vicinity of Brighton Court.
With all this talk of gas behind them (so to speak), council members can proceed to take up the matter of two zoning change requests, both of which involve a switch from "single-family" to "planned development" designation.
The tide of progress marches on. Or maybe it rolls in, eroding beachfront properties. (Or something.)
